BLS International has announced on Thursday that it has signed a contract with The Republic of Philippines Department of Foreign Affairs to provide ePassport Renewal services initially starting with Italy, Qatar and Malaysia.

BLS will provide ePassport renewal services on behalf of The Republic of Philippines in Italy, Qatar and Malaysia. With this, The Department of Foreign Affairs intends to ease the renewal process for Philippine nationals living overseas.

The opening of ePassport Renewal Centers (PaRCs) in these countries will provide facility to Filipinos to apply for ePassport renewals at a time and place of their convenience.

Commenting on this, Shikhar Aggarwal, Joint Managing Director, BLS International, said, “We are honoured and excited to serve The Republic of Philippines Department of Foreign Affairs. We are confident that our tech-enabled ePassport renewal services will be faster and convenient for the Filipino diaspora in the three countries-Italy, Qatar and Malaysia.

We will simplify the application procedure and shorten the overall application processing time, which will, in turn, contribute to overall improved customer service. I am confident of a seamless rollout and hope to strengthen this relationship with more such opportunities.”

The Philippine ePassport Renewal Centres will serve the following advantages:
  • Provide faster and more convenient ePassport renewal services.
  • Provide automated and integrated online mechanism in day-to-day transactions.
  • Simplify and shorten the overall application processing time.
This is in addition to the already robust portfolio of visa, passport, consular and citizen services offered by BLS International and reflects company’s focus on efficiency and continuous excellence in its operations.

At around 2:04 PM, BLS International was trading at Rs223.90 per piece higher by 9.51%, after hitting 52-week high at Rs233.30 per piece on Sensex.
