BSE to auction investment limits for govt bonds on Tuesday

Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), a leading national stock exchange, will auction investment limits on Tuesday for foreign investors to purchase government debt securities of worth Rs 10,922 crore.

Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), a leading national stock exchange, will auction investment limits on Tuesday for foreign investors to purchase government debt securities of worth Rs 10,922 crore.
 
The auction will be conducted on BSE's e-bidXchange platform after the close of market hours i.e from 1530 hours to 1730 hours.
 
BSE reported that the debt auction quota gives overseas investors the right to invest in the debt up to the limit purchased.
 
On Monday, after market hours a mock bidding session would be conducted in order to check the system's performance and accuracy.
 
Earlier in June, an online auction was conducted wherein the government debt securities had received bids valued at Rs 29,950 crore from foreign investors as against Rs 20,397 crore that was offered.
