European stocks trade lower ahead of upcoming US jobs data

DAX and FTSE fell 2% each, while CAC also dipped 1.84% in today’s trade.

European markets retreated Thursday as global market sentiment sours once again, ahead of upcoming U.S. jobless claims data. The US Senate passed a $2 trillion Coronavirus disaster aid bill that is the largest economic stimulus in the history of the United States.

US stock futures shed prior gains as investors looked ahead to the latest U.S. jobless claims data.

Meanwhile, Italy and Spain are the worst-hit countries in Europe, with the death toll in each country surpassing 7,000 and 3,500 respectively. The death toll in the US has now surpassed 1,000.

DAX and FTSE fell 2% each, while CAC also dipped 1.84% in today’s trade.
