Goa Carbon slips ~2% after Q3FY19 reports net loss at Rs4.9cr

The company's revenue also dropped to Rs94.3cr in the quarter compared to Rs186.6cr in the same period a year ago.

Shares of Goa Carbon were trading ~2% down on Thursday after the company reported a net loss of Rs4.9cr for the third quarter ended December 2018 against a profit of Rs22.5cr in the same period a year ago.

The company's revenue also dropped to Rs94.3cr in the quarter compared to Rs186.6cr in the same period a year ago. Further, EBITDA loss was at Rs6.3cr in the period under review compared to EBITDA of Rs38.3cr in the previous year.

Goa Carbon Ltd's share price is currently at Rs534.20, down Rs7.9, or 1.46%, from its previous close of Rs542.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs541.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs569.20 and Rs521.75, respectively. So far, 6,34,448 (NSE+BSE) shares have been traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs496.02cr.
