Govt imposes anti-dumping duty on all vitrified tiles from China; Tiles companies rally

The government has imposed USD 1.37 per square metre anti-dumping duty on all vitrified tiles from China, which is far lower than industry expectations, as per media reports.

Shares of Tiles companies rallied on BSE after the imposition of anti-dumping duty on vitrified tiles. Today, the government has imposed USD 1.37 per square metre anti-dumping duty on all vitrified tiles from China, which is far lower than industry expectations, as per media reports.

Anti-dumping duty imposed on vitrified tiles is for the next six months, according to reports.

Aro Granite Industries gained 2.4% to Rs.42.Orient Bell jumped 2.5% to Rs.137. The scrip opened at Rs. 43.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 43.95 and Rs. 41.8 respectively. So far 1906(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 62.73 crore.

Nitco soared 10% to Rs.41. The scrip opened at Rs. 38 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 41.9 and Rs. 37.8 respectively. So far 775902(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 203.76 crore.

Murudeshwar Ceramics climbed 5.9% to Rs.20.80.  The scrip opened at Rs. 20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 21.5 and Rs. 20 respectively. So far 31542(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 80.19 crore.

Madhav Marbles & Granites soared 4.2% to Rs.42.50. The scrip opened at Rs. 43.5 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 43.5 and Rs. 42.5 respectively. So far 5238(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 36.52 crore.

Kajaria Ceramic trading flat at Rs.945.70. The scrip opened at Rs. 960 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 968.35 and Rs. 934 respectively. So far 122422(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7503.46 crore.

HSIL gained 2.7% to Rs.280. Euro Ceramics jumped 6% to Rs.3.05. Cera Sanitaryware trading lower by 0.3% to Rs.1826.
