“We or no country ever questions the sovereign rights to issue a visa. But here as regards H-1B visa, after due discussions, a certain number, certain process, the way in which it will be issued, all this is already been sort of understood between the two governments," the minister said.
Sitharaman said that as a country India cannot question the sovereign rights of a country to issue visas. Though she assured that the respective ministry will table the issue in front of the US government.
