HeidelbergCement India is currently trading near the highest level of the day at Rs. 66 - with a gain of over 6 percent at Rs. 67 on the BSE, after media reported that the firm is in talks to buy Jaiprakash Associates' Sikandarabad cement unit at Rs. 500 crore.
On the BSE, the counter has seen trades of around 116,000 shares as compared to its two-week daily average volume of 17,000 shares.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex has surged 453 points at 27,769.
