In this capacity, Gregg will work closely with Mr. Rono Dutta, the Executive Leadership Team of IndiGo, and Mr. Rahul Bhatia to accelerate operational and commercial improvement opportunities at the airline.
Gregg brings extensive experience in commercial aviation including, most recently, as CEO of WestJet, Canada's most successful low cost carrier, the airline company said.
Gregg's understanding of the low cost carrier model will serve us well as we work together to drive the change that will propel IndiGo to the next level and recover from the damaging effects of the pandemic, it added.
The stock ended at Rs1,818.80 up by Rs42.35 or 2.38% from its previous closing of Rs1,776.45 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs1,785.95 and touched a high and low of Rs1,825.70 and Rs1,776 respectively.
