Jet Airways grounds four aircrafts due to non-payment of lease rent

Jet Airways in its filing to the exchanges informed that four aircrafts have been grounded due to non-payment of amounts outstanding to lessors under lease agreements.

In this regard, the company is actively engaged with all its aircraft lessors and regularly provides them with updates on efforts undertaken by the company to improve its liquidity, the company said in a press note after market hours to the exchanges on Wednesday.

"The company is making all efforts to minimize disruption to its network due to the above and is proactively informing and re-accommodating its affected guests. The company also continues to provide required and periodic updates to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in this regard," Jet Airways clarified.
Jet Airways (India) Ltd's share price ended at Rs236.60, down by Rs0 or 0%, from its previous close of Rs236.60 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs236.90 and touched a high and low of Rs242.80 and Rs233.60, respectively. A total of, 57,14,747 (NSE+BSE) shares have traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs2,687.78cr.
