The company on Tuesday reported a 31.4% rise in net profit to Rs 3.01 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017. It had posted a net profit of Rs 2.29 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
The board of directors of the company at its meeting held on May 30, 2017, has recommended a dividend of Rs 0.80 per equity share of Rs.10 each for the financial year 2016-17.
Kamdhenu Limited is engaged in manufacturing, distribution, marketing, branding of steel and paints. It manufactures thermo-mechanically treated (TMT) steel.
Kamdhenu Ltd is currently trading at Rs 117.05, up by Rs 7.95 or 7.29% from its previous closing of Rs 109.1 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs 114.5 and has touched a high and low of Rs 120.35 and Rs 113 respectively. So far 221874(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 255.29 crore.
The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 117.4 on 29-May-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs 50.1 on 24-Jun-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 117.4 and Rs 102 respectively.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.62 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.12 % and 30.26 % respectively.
The stock is currently trading above its 50 DMA.
