Firstly, a lot of bandwidth got involved in the battle against COVID. Secondly, the social distancing put brakes in the growth of the healthcare business across India and NH was no exception.

The consolidated Profit after tax (PAT) for the Dec-20 quarter was up 29.98% at Rs40.84cr. The company managed to address the issue of weak revenues through better and systematic cost controls over doctor fees, employee payouts and miscellaneous expenses.

These cost control measures were largely responsible for this spurt in net profits. PAT margins actually improved yoy from 4.00% in Dec-19 to 5.44% in Dec-20.
