NCLT sanctions merger of Sun Pharma Global FZE with Sun Pharmaceutical Industries

The company will file the certified order of NCLT Ahmedabad with the Registrar of Companies, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited on Thursday has received the certified copy of the order passed by the National Company Law Tribunal, Ahmedabad Bench on August 31, 2021, approving the Scheme of Amalgamation and Merger of Sun Pharma Global FZE (Transferor Company), an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company with the company (Transferee Company), and their respective members and creditors (Scheme), for the merger of the Transferor Company with the Transferee Company.

“The copy of the certified order of the Hon'ble National Company Law Tribunal, Ahmedabad Bench will be filed along with E form INC-28 by the company with the Registrar of Companies, Ahmedabad, Gujarat and thereafter, the merger will be considered complete, effective from the appointed date as per the Scheme,” the pharma company said in a filing on Thursday.

At around 9.49 am, Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd was trading at Rs783.55 per piece up by Rs2.7 or 0.35% from its previous closing of Rs780.85 per piece on the BSE.
