New India Assurance appoints Madhulika Bhaskar on Board

New India Assurance Company Limited informed investors and exchanges that the company has appointed Ms. Madhulika Bhaskar, General Manager from General Insurance Corporation of India as the General Manager of the New India Assurance.

The position of CMD of New India was vacant since the company’s former chairman Atul Sahai retired on February 28, 2022.

Madhulika will be acting as the chairman and managing director of the company.

Madhulika is currently associated as general manager and financial advisor with General Insurance. She brings 33 years of rich and versatile experience to New India Assurance. Out of which, she has worked in reinsurance operations, aviation, and technical department for about 25 years of her service.

Shares of New India Assurance ended at Rs114.90 down by Rs1.1 or 0.95% from its previous closing of Rs116 on the BSE. It has touched an intraday high and low of Rs117.20 and Rs113.10 respectively.
