The Index has been mostly trading in the green this week amid a fall in Covid-19 cases in Mumbai and other cities. On Wednesday the sector gained over 1% before slipping into red territory in the afternoon.
At around 1.15 PM, the Nifty Realty was trading at 353.55 up 3.65 points or 1.04%, touching a high of 356.05 and low of 351.60 during intraday trade on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was trading at 52,276.41 up 334.77 points or 0.64% and the Nifty50 at 15,731.45 up 96.10 points or 0.61%.
Indiabulls Real Estate surged over 5.2% at Rs110.70 per piece to lift the performance of the sector. Hemisphere Properties stock also continued rise (3.3%) at Rs158.95 per piece. Prestige advanced 3% at Rs296.65 per piece to stretch gains since announcing Q4 earnings.
Sobha (up 1.73%), Sunteck Realty (up 1.64%) and Brigade (up 1.48%) also aided in the bullish state of the sector. DLF was also bullish while Godrej Properties was also trading higher.
On the flip side, Oberoi Realty after having a rough day and trading marginally higher. Phoenix Mills Limited was under pressure at Rs838.95 per piece, down 0.21% to drag an otherwise bullish sector.
