Nifty Realty under pressure amid volatile markets; Oberoi, Phoenix drag; Sunteck top gainer

Sunteck Realty emerges as the top bull surging by 3.43% at Rs281.75 per piece.

Nifty Realty stocks joined the markets bears on Thursday due to volitality amid mixed global cues. During early trading hours, Nifty 50 was struggling around the 15,300 levels. Indian Markets were on a flat note amid mixed global cues and continuous decline in Covid-19 cases in the country which is being negated by worries about increase in inflation to the investors.

Realty Index dropped nearly 1% on Thursday at around 11:20 AM, it was trading at 333.35 down 2.10 points or 0.63%, touching a high of 336.80 and low of 333.05 during intraday trade on Thursday.

The index was performing in the red where 6 scrips were on a  declining note.

Oberoi Realty and Indiabulls Real Estate shed over 2% to emerge the biggest laggards in the sector.

Phoenix Mills shed 0.86% at Rs 798.05 per piece while Prestige was tumbled by 1.31% at Rs270.85 per piece on the index.

DLF was 0.34% on the downside at Rs289.10 per piece.Brigade also was 0.34% lower. 

However, on the upside heavywight Godrej Properties was trading at Rs1,349.70 per share higher by 0.09% to lift the sector a little.

Sunteck Realty emerges as the top bull surging by 3.43% at Rs281.75 per piece alongwith Hemisphere Properties up by 0.56%. Sobha was also trading marginally on the upside at Rs485.40 per piece.
