Orient Electric’s Kolkata plant to remain closed for two days every week

The company will follow the lockdown guidelines of the West Bengal Government till the guidelines remain in force.

Orient Electric Limited informed the exchanges Friday that will keep its plant at Kolkata closed for two days every week. According to the company, West Bengal State Government is imposing two days lockdown every week to contain the spread of Covid-19.

“This is in reference of the guidelines issued by the West Bengal State Government imposing two days lockdown every week to contain the spread of Covid-19. We wish to inform you that the company will follow the above guidelines of the State Government and will keep its plant at Kolkata closed on those days during the weeks as would be declared by the State Government till the above guidelines remain in force,” company said.

Orient Electric Ltd is currently trading at Rs180.50 down by Rs1.45 or 0.8% from its previous closing of Rs181.95 on the BSE.
