PNB, Vodafone Idea, IRCTC among 5 stocks ban on F&O today; NALCO, SAIL, Exide exit the list

These securities are banned under the F&O segment as they have crossed 95% of the market-wide position limit.

A list of five stocks has been banned from trading on the futures and options (F&O) on Wednesday on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

These stocks were the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), Sun TV, Vodafone Idea, Punjab National Bank (PNB) and Indiabulls Housing Finance. These stocks are banned for the second consecutive day now.

On Tuesday, eight stocks namely Exide Industries, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Vodafone Idea, IRCTC, NALCO, Punjab National Bank, SAIL, and Sun TV Network - were under the F&O ban for trading.

These securities are banned under the F&O segment as they have crossed 95% of the market-wide position limit. Thereby, all clients/members shall trade in the derivative contracts of said security only to decrease their positions through offsetting positions.

However, stocks like NALCO, SAIL and Exide Industries have been removed from the ban list.
