REPL stock jumps 2% post its appointment as Monitoring Agency for Jal Jeevan Mission in Jammu

In its press release, Rudrabhishek Enterprises Ltd. (REPL) announced that the company has been appointed for inspection and quality monitoring of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) program of Jal Shakti Department, Jammu in 10 districts of the Jammu division. The agreement was signed between Er. Manesh K. Bhat (Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti (PHE) Department, Jammu) and Dr. Harish Sharma (ED-REPL).

Through this project, the government strives to provide functional household tap connection to every rural household by 2024. They aim to ensure that the water supply is regular and is inadequate quality and prescribed quantity. REPL will be responsible to carry out inspections related to all engineering works associated with civil, mechanical, and electrical components executed under in-village infrastructure of JJM.

The company will also be responsible to sample check material used in construction, quality control, safety measures and payment to the laborers by executing party.

REPL’s CMD, Mr. Pradeep Misra, commented on the appointment, “Provisions of portable water is essential to a quality living condition. Though JJM government is aggressively increasing its reach. However, it is very crucial that the highest level of quality is ensured in plan implementation. Our extensive experience in the field will help us to carry out this assignment effectively.”

There are more than 1800 schemes spread over 10 districts of Jammu Division, i.e., Jammu, Samba, Udhampur, Kahtua, Kishtwar, Ramban, Reasi, Doda, Poonch and Rajouri. REPL is already associated with JJM at different locations under various activities.

REPL jumped 2.06% in today's trade at Rs218 against its previous closing price of Rs213.60 on NSE. It touched day's high and low of Rs218 and Rs213.85 respectively.
