Two promoter entities of Sapphire Foods, the Indian operator of the KFC and Pizza Hut franchises, sold shares worth Rs 530 crore in block sales on Monday.
Sapphire Foods Mauritius sold 33.37 lakh shares, or 5.24% of total equity capital, while Samara Capital Partners sold 4.49 lakh shares, or 0.71% of total equity, at an average price of Rs 1,400 per share.
Sapphire Food Mauritius owned 29.28% of the company as of September 30, while Samara Capital owned 0.71%. The Singapore government purchased shares for Rs 141 crore, while HDFC Mutual Fund purchased shares worth Rs 308 crore.
At around 11.50 AM, Sapphire Foods was trading 0.22% higher at Rs 1,408.05 per piece, against the previous close of Rs 1,404.90 on NSE. The counter rose to an intraday high of Rs 1,424.70.
