The issue price has been fixed at Rs4,807 per gram of gold, the Reserve Bank of India said on Friday.
The Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2021-22 - Series IV or the fourth tranche will be open for subscription from July 12 - 16, 2021.
The Ministry of Finance said on Friday, “in terms of Government of India Notification No.4(5)-B(W&M)/2021 dated May 12, 2021, Sovereign Gold Bonds 2021-22 (Series IV) will be opened for the period July 12-16, 2021 with Settlement date July 20, 2021. The issue price of the Bond during the subscription period shall be Rs4,807 only – per gram and also it is published by RBI on the same day.
The Government of India in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India has decided to allow a discount of Rs50 per gram from the issue price to those investors who apply online and the payment is made through digital mode.
For such investors, the issue price of Gold Bond will be Rs4,757 per gram of gold.
Further, the issue price for Series III, which was open for subscription during May 31 to June 4, 2021, was Rs4,889/gm.
Meanwhile, the Reserve Bank had issued 12 tranches of SGB for an aggregate amount of Rs16,049cr (32.35 tonnes) during 2020-21.
