DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd (DSCL) Kota Manufacturing facility has been conferred with the highly prestigious and eminent ‘AIOE Outstanding Industrial Relations Award 2011-12’ presented by All India Organization of Employers (AIOE) – an allied body of FICCI.
In view of its excellent track record in industrial relations, DSCL was presented with the award by Dr. Mrutyunjay Sarangi, Secretary, Labour & Employment, at a special function held at the Federation House Delhi for recognizing outstanding contribution in Industrial Relations.
The Outstanding Industrial Relations Award is the only one of its kind in the country, constituted by AIOE and given to organizations for innovative work done in the field of Industrial Relations.
The prestigious Award acknowledges the organization’s efforts in fostering harmonious industrial relations through bipartite mechanism, reducing conflicts and man days’ loss, promoting employees’ welfare and development avenues, contributing to higher motivation, morale and productivity improvement.
The AIOE Award selection process is rigorous, requiring participating firms to clearly demonstrate a sustained degree of excellence and pro-activeness in their industry relations and oversight.
The quality of industrial relations climate or environment in the workplace and area in which an establishment operates, are also deciding factors while judging the performance.
The evaluation process included detailed write up from participating companies, after which Trade Union Leaders, Management Experts and Academia arduously assessed, consolidated and ranked the thoroughly vetted nominees before reaching their final decision.
Speaking on the achievement, KK Kaul, Senior Executive Director, DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd. said, “We are deeply honored to receive the award from All Indian Organization of Employers for our efforts in Industrial Relations. This recognition asserts our efforts in ensuring amicable relations with all our stakeholders, and infuses in us the confidence to continue with the same dedications and enthusiasm.”
