FICCI ladies organisation hosted ‘Tejasvini’ the annual YFLO young women achievers awards for the year 2009-2010. The awardees included women achievers like Vidya Balan -actor, Jaishree Mishra-author, Ekta Kapoor and Minal Vazirani-business entrepreneurs, Sunita Krishnan for her contribution in the field of community service, Monisha Jaisingh for her exemplary work in the field of fashion, Shaili Chopra in the media category.

The awards were given away by the Hon’ble Minister Smt. Preneet Kaur. Present on the occasion were Ms. Priyanka Agarwal, Chairperson YFLO; Ms. Kavitha Dutt, President FLO; Ms. Vasvi Bharat Ram, Senior Vice-Chairperson, YFLO and Smt Isher Ahluwalia.
The awards are YFLO’s salutation to women leaders across India. ‘Tejasvini’ celebrates and accolades their individual achievements. These women have been recognised for their contributions and accomplishments extraordinaire, across various fields. They have broken the glass ceiling and established new benchmarks in excellence and determination.
Speaking on the occasion Ms.Priyanka Agarwal said, “The primary objective of YFLO is to promote entrepreneurship and professional excellence in women across industries. The annual YFLO women achievers awards have been instituted as a platform to recognize the exemplary work of women, be it in the field of entrepreneurship, social service, sports, literature or media. Our awardees are all women of substance who have refused to succumb to the ordinary and have taken determined risks to achieve their goals. These women have empowered many others in their journey to excellence.”
