Energy Development Company Limited is an India-based company that is engaged primarily in the power sector. The Company generates clean, green electricity from water and wind in its own power plants as well as developing energy and infrastructure projects for other developers. Its segments include the Generating Division, Contract Division and Trading Division. The Generating Division is engaged in the generation and sale of electricity. The Contract Division includes construction, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of projects and consultancies. The Trading Division is engaged in the trading of power equipment’s metals. It owns and operates a nine-megawatt (MW) and six MW hydro-electric power project and power plant in Karnataka. It also has two operating windmills of 1.5 MW each located in Hassan and Chitra Durga districts in the state of Karnataka. Its hydroelectric projects include the Harangi Project and Ullunkal HEP.
