Early on Tuesday, prices for both gold and silver decreased. 10 grams of 24 Carat yellow metal changed hands for Rs51,930, a decrease of Rs270. On the other side, silver is currently trading at Rs59,500 per kilogram after falling by Rs1,300. Following a reduction of Rs250, ten grams of 22-carat gold are currently retailing at Rs47,600.
In Mumbai and Kolkata, 10-gram quantities of 24- and 22-carat gold, respectively, are being sold for Rs51,930 and Rs47,600, respectively. 24- and 22-carat gold is now selling in Delhi for Rs52,100 and Rs47,750 per 10 gm, respectively.
Gold in Chennai is now selling for Rs 52,420 for 24 karat and Rs 48,050 for 22 Carat. In response to a stronger currency and the likelihood of future excessive rate rises by the US Federal Reserve, gold prices were flat on Tuesday, remaining close to a one-week low reached in the previous session.
At 01:43 GMT, the spot price of gold was unchanged at $1,668.29 an ounce. The greatest one-day percentage drop in prices since September 23 was 1.6% on Monday. US gold futures increased 0.3% to $1,679.60 for an ounce.
Silver is now selling for Rs59,500 a kilogram in Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata. One kilogram of silver is being sold for Rs64,800 in Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. To $19.57 per ounce, spot silver decreased by 0.4%.
