Cummins India Limited today announced the launch of its CPCBIV+ emission standard-compliant range of genset engines. Cummins and its GOEM partners are now prepared to offer the full range of gensets, up to 800 KWh, that are fully compliant with the most recent CPCBIV+ emission norms.
The new product line incorporates advanced after-treatment systems and engineering expertise to improve fuel efficiency and load-taking capability while meeting stringent emission standards.
Even in extreme conditions, these advanced genset engines enable a reliable and seamless transition from grid to genset power. The engines also include innovative remote monitoring and advanced engine control capabilities, allowing users to monitor critical engine performance metrics and parameters in real time from any location.
The company started production of the new series of generator engines at its Maharashtra manufacturing plants. Dozens of units have been field tested and have successfully operated for more than 25,000 hours in various environmental and operating conditions across India.
The CPCB IV+ emission standards, mandated by the Indian government and enforced by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) beginning July 1, 2023, are among the most comprehensive and stringent standards for power generation engines.
These measures result in a 90% reduction in particulate matter (PM) and harmful oxides of nitrogen (NOx) concentrations when compared to the previous CPCB II standards.
