13 Apr 2023 , 03:49 PM

Indian markets saw a day of some volatility today. Nifty 50 ended, up by 15 points. Sensex ended, up by 38.23 points. Top Gainers today were IndusInd Bank, HDFC Life and Eicher Motors. Top Losers today were Infosys, Tech Mahindra and HCL Technologies.

Some mid-cap and small-cap stocks saw buying demand today. IT stocks came under selling pressure on the day when Infosys will be announcing its March quarter and annual results. This shows that the more prevalent expectation in the market is that Infosys’ results will be below expectations. Some healthcare and pharma stocks also saw selling pressure. Buying demand was seen in some realty and banking stocks.

Reliance Power, Yes Bank, and Suzlon were the most traded stocks today at NSE, in terms of volume. ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, and Axis Bank were the most traded stocks in terms of value. 49 stocks touched new 52-week high today, at NSE. 11 stocks touched new 52-week low.
