As a result of increased moviegoer attendance, multiplex chain operator Inox Leisure Ltd on Wednesday reported a decrease in its consolidated net loss to Rs40.37 crore for the second quarter that ended on September 30, 2022. In the months of July through September of the previous year, the company reported a net loss of Rs87.66 crore, according to Inox Leisure’s BSE filing.
In comparison to the low base of the corresponding quarter the year prior, when the movie exhibition sector was negatively damaged by the second wave of the COVID-19 epidemic, its revenue from operations during the quarter under review was at Rs374.12 crore.
The July-September quarter of the previous fiscal year brought in Rs 47.44 crore from operations for Inox Leisure. An increase of double brought total costs to Rs 434.24 crore. 11.6 million visitors to Inox theatres during July and September reported “ATP (Average Ticket Price) of Rs 215 and the highest ever quarterly SPH (Spending Per Head) at Rs 102.”
This was significantly influenced by “menu additions, seasonal specialty introduction, Timely & result-oriented marketing initiatives, interactive culinary sessions & workshops, and numerous process advancements have contributed to a robust rebound on the F&B Revenues,” it stated. On Wednesday, Inox Leisure Ltd. shares closed at Rs514.20 on the BSE, up 0.58 % from the previous close.
