According to an internal email, employees at IT behemoth Wipro will be required to report to work at least three days per week from the office beginning November 15. Non-compliance with the policy may result in disciplinary action beginning January 7, 2024, according to the company.
Wipro, India’s fourth-largest IT business, announced a ‘compulsory hybrid work policy requiring a minimum of three days in the office.’ According to the company, this is an ‘important adjustment to our return-to-office approach.’
All workers must be present at their allocated office location for at least three days each week beginning November 15. ‘This change aims to improve teamwork, facilitate face-to-face interactions, and strengthen Wipro’s culture,’ said Saurabh Govil, Wipro’s chief human resources officer in his email.
Last week reports highlighted that, according to an email sent to several of its entry to mid-level workers, Infosys has begun summoning back its employees to work from the office for a minimum of 10 days every month.
At around 11.49 AM, Wipro was trading at Rs 384.40, against the previous close of Rs 384.65 on NSE.
