Lightrock India has agreed to invest USD 15 million (about Rs120 crore) in the inpatient mental health institution Sukoon Healthcare in exchange for a controlling interest in the facility.
The Gurugram-based hospital claimed that the investment, which is the largest domestically to date in the field of mental health, will aid in the development of a sizable therapeutic behavioral health platform.
The money will be used by Sukoon, which offers evidence-based, internationally approved care and therapy to mental patients, to scale to additional locations, expand specialized services, and collaborate with other providers.
