NTPC to issue non-convertible debentures to raise Rs 500 crore

On Friday, the state-owned power company NTPC will issue non-convertible debentures through a private placement to raise Rs 500 crore.

BSE stated: "NTPC has decided to offer unsecured non-convertible debentures of Rs 500 crore on December 16, 2022, through a private placement at a coupon of 7.44 % per annum with a door-to-door maturity of 10 years 3 months 30 days on April 15, 2033." According to the statement, the funds will be used, among other things, to fund capital expenditures, refinance current debt, and other general business purposes.
