Ximkart, a cross-border raw material sourcing business, announced a $2.4 million investment round headed by Matrix Partners India.
Multiply Ventures, Better Capital, and Citius Ventures also contributed to the fundraising. Famous angel investors included Udaan's Sujeet Kumar, GGV's Hans Tung, and the creators of Ula, OfBusiness, and Zetwerk.
The money will be used to boost the startup's position in existing categories, create new categories, and expand to newer locations in procurement, sales, technology, and operations.
Ximkart, founded in 2022 by Sharan Urubail and Ankush Mittal, intends to simplify raw material imports by improving discovery, quality, openness, and accountability while removing middlemen in the supply chain.
