Jindal ITF and Sula Shipping & Logistics Pvt Ltd have signed a MoU which will be comitted to increase the efficiency of the NTPC-Farakka waterways project.
Jindal ITF is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jindal SAW Ltd.
Sula Logistics is responsible for trans-shipment and barging of coal at Sandheads for the Farakka trans-shipment project.
The NTPC-Farakka project will deliver close to three million imported coal to Farakka through the barges. This new initiative by the government (Hoogly and Ganga waterways) is expected to bridge the gap between north and eastern India via coal supply. SULA has appointed Capt. Shrikant Chandra as the man-in-charge of the operations.
