Airtel has made its ultra-fast 5G service accessible to customers in 500 cities across the country. Airtel has expanded its network by including 235 additional cities, marking one of the biggest rollouts of 5G services so far.
With a continued effort to enhance its network, Airtel 5G Plus can now be accessed in all major cities from Kashmir in the north to Kanyakumari in the south.
Randeep Sekhon, the Chief Technology Officer of Bharti Airtel, expressed his satisfaction with the swift uptake of 5G services in India during the launch. Airtel was the first to provide 5G services in October 2022, and the present launch assures all Airtel customers of fast connectivity through Airtel 5G Plus.
Currently, Airtel has coverage in 500 cities and adds 30 to 40 cities daily. By September 2023, the plan is to expand the 5G coverage to all urban areas in India.
In addition to the launch of 5G services in 500 cities, Airtel has also introduced unlimited 5G data for its customers. This is aimed at encouraging customers to take advantage of the high-speed and dependable Airtel 5G Plus network.
With the data usage cap lifted across all existing plans, customers can now enjoy the benefits of 5G services without worrying about data limits, including fast and secure connectivity.
Customers can enjoy three key benefits from Airtel 5G Plus. Firstly, the network runs on technology that is widely recognized globally, with a highly developed ecosystem. This means that all 5G smartphones in India can operate seamlessly on the Airtel network.
