The company's operating income stood at Rs32.35cr in Q1FY22 as compared to Rs27.94cr in the corresponding period of
the previous year.
The company's exports in Q1FY22 was 80.0% (94% in Q1FY21) of the total revenue while the domestic sale was 20% (6% in Q1FY21) which includes the contribution from IVD sales.
The product mix in Q1FY22 was Male condoms (MC) 46% (56% in Q1FY21), Female condoms (FC) with 32% (43% in Q1FY21), Others (Jelly, Hand sanitiser, Hair Removal, Sale of raw material) 10% (1% in Q1FY21) and IVD sale 12%.
Omprakash Garg, CMD said “We are pleased to report satisfactory performance in the quarter despite lockdown imposed by the State Government on account of the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic leading to temporary shut-down of the Company's manufacturing facilities and operations. The demand for Male and Female Condoms especially in the export market continues to remain strong and our order book continues to be healthy. The order book as of July 1st, 2021 stands at Rs.85 Cr.”
On Sensex, Cupid finished at Rs238.35 per piece down by 1.6%.
