Nifty Realty sheds 1% amid volatility; Prestige, Indiabulls worst hit

Brigade emerges as top bull surging nearly 1% at Rs405.10 per piece.

On Thursday's trade, the Nifty Realty was under massive selling pressure amid volatility in broader benchmark indices. Among the sectors, realty and pharma took a dive while power stocks were floating on the positive front. 

The Nifty Realty Index dropped by at least 1% during early trading hours of today.

At around 10:40 AM, Realty index was trading at 417.70 down 3 points or 0.71%, after touching a high of 419.90 and low of 415.90 during intraday trade.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was trading at 58,307.01 up 56.75 points or 0.10% and the Nifty50 at 17,338.10 down 15.40 points or 0.09%.

Brigade and Hemisphere Properties maintains upside to support the index however Prestige, Indiabulls Real Estate, Sunteck were under pressure to drag the sector.

Brigade emerges as top bull surging nearly 1% at Rs405.10 per piece followed by Hemisphere Properties gaining 0.38% at Rs133.10 per piece.

On the contrary, rest all 8 scrips were in bloodbath dragging the sector most.

Prestige shed above 2% to emerge the biggest laggards in the sector.

Indiabulls Real Estate also dropped more than 1.5% at Rs146.25 per piece while Sunteck and Sobha tumbled nearly 1% on the index. 

Heavyweights Godrej Properties, Phoenix and Oberoi Realty witness massive selling pressure and plunged by more than 0.5% each.
