NTPC makes payment of final dividend for 2022-23 worth Rs 2,908.99 crore

The state-owned power company NTPC declared a final dividend payment of Rs 2,908.99 crore for the financial year 2022-23 on Tuesday. ‘This Final Dividend payment of Rs 2,908.99 crore represents 30% paid-up equity share capital of NTPC,’ the company said in a statement.

According to the announcement, the total dividend paid for the fiscal year 2022-23 is Rs 7,030.08 crore, or 41% of profit after tax (PAT).

This is the company’s 30th straight year of dividend distributions, demonstrating its commitment to providing stable returns to its investors, it noted.

NTPC is India’s largest energy company, with incorporation in 1975 to expedite India’s power growth. Since then, it has established itself as the leading power major, with a presence across the whole power generation value chain.
