ELearning courseware to help companies address changing regulatory and service requirements in the global BFSI space

Skillsoft today announced the launch of its new global banking and financial services courseware in India. The collection of 50 elearning courses of an hour each will help companies train their employees in understanding complex products and services, as well as regulatory and risk management requirements in banking and financial service organizations globally. In India, the courseware is targeted at BFSI, IT and ITeS companies.

“A majority of IT and ITES companies in India cater to the global banking, financial services and insurance industry. As a result, there is an ongoing need to keep domain knowledge current and relevant to stay competitive,” said Vinay Pradhan, Country Manager – India, Skillsoft. “We have launched this courseware in India due to demand from our customers to ensure that their employees are up-to-date.”

Global expansion of financial markets, use of complicated derivative contracts and a host of market-lined investment products have given rise to a variety of risks faced by banking and non-banking financial institutions. The courseware helps learners understand several critical areas of operations of companies in the worldwide banking and financial services sector.

It provides an overview of key products such as loans and mortgages, life, health and general insurance products, mutual funds and portfolio management. It also helps build an understanding of the main risks that affect operations, effective risk management, supervision and control, as well as key Basel I, II and III regulations that govern the sector globally.

Aruna Telang, Learning Strategist & Consulting Lead – Asia, Skillsoft added, “Skillsoft courseware provides efficient and consistent training for large companies in the BSFI and ITeS sectors who typically have geographically dispersed employees. Elearning can be used to ubiquitously provide the latest information 24x7.”
