Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) reported a robust financial performance during the last quarter of the fiscal year FY25 reporting a year-on-year increase of 53.3% in the net profit, which was pegged at ₹230 crore against ₹150 crore for the comparative quarter last year.
The top line of the company was up 20.8% YoY in Q4FY25 at ₹3,053 crore and reported growth in its renewable energy portfolio where new projects were commissioned during the quarter in respect of solar and wind businesses.
EBITDA increased 30% YoY to ₹2,382 crore in the quarter ending March compared with ₹1,834 crore during last year’s Q4FY24. The EBITDA margin was better at 78% against 72.6% during the same quarter last year, reflecting better operational efficiency.
For the full fiscal year FY25, AGEL reported increased revenues from power sales by 23% YoY, amounting to ₹9,495 crore, in the consistent growth being shown by the company in generation capacity and production.
Thus, EBITDA from power supply for FY25 stands at ₹8,818 crores, growing 22% over the previous year and attaining the key milestone of $1 billion for the first time.
Cash profit for the period also increased by 22% YoY at ₹4,871 crore on the back of better plant performances and innovative renewable energy technology deployments.
In FY25, AGEL added a capacity of 3.3 GW, leading to a 30% year-on-year increase in operational capacity, which now stands at 14.2 GW and further consolidating its leadership in renewable energy within India. It reaffirmed its commitment to long-term sustainability and green energy by stating its commitment to a renewable energy capacity of 50 GW by 2030.
The firm approved the reappointment of Vneet S. Jaain as Managing Director for a term of five years starting July 10, 2025, subject to shareholder approval at its recent board meeting.
The board also approved the reappointment of Raminder Singh Guiral as Independent Director for an additional three years, pending shareholder approval as well. AGEL has fixed Wednesday, June 25, 2025, for holding its 10th Annual General Meeting (AGM), during which the shareholders will approve important resolutions such as the reappointment of directors.
