TCS and AWS enter into cloud & AI partnership

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced a multi-year strategic partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide cloud transformation and generative AI solutions to customers.

The agreement aims to enable full-stack digital transformation by leveraging data and AI solutions on AWS. AWS will support upskilling and reskilling of 25,000 TCS employees in cloud and GenAI skills.

TCS will offer customers tools for modern architectures, cloud-native capabilities, and modernization at scale, including cloud modernization roadmaps, platforms, investment models, and POC projects.

The partnership targets customers across various industries, particularly banking, finance, life sciences, healthcare, travel, transportation, hospitality, manufacturing, automotive, and communications.

Matt Garman, Senior VP of Sales, Marketing, and Global Services at AWS, expressed excitement about expanding the partnership with TCS.

Krishna Mohan, Deputy Head of AI.Cloud Unit at TCS, highlighted the value proposition for clients and the opportunity to leverage innovative technologies like generative AI.

TCS is part of the Tata Group, operating in 150 locations across 46 countries, with over 616,000 employees globally. TCS aims to build one of the largest AI-ready workforces globally, with over 350,000 employees trained on AI/ML, including GenAI.

TCS is among the first Global System Integrator Partners to achieve the AWS GenAI competency, focusing on AWS technologies and best practices for generative AI adoption. TCS’s AI.Cloud unit, established in 2023, addresses customer needs for cloud and AI adoption, offering services such as consulting, solution design, prototyping, and large language model training.
