TCS Inks Multi-Million Dollar Deal with Ramboll for IT Transformation

22 Mar 2024 , 11:54 AM

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest IT services company, announced a significant strategic partnership on March 21 with Ramboll, a global leader in architecture, engineering, and consultancy based in Denmark.

Over the next seven years, TCS will undertake the comprehensive IT transformation of Ramboll, aiming to enhance its IT operating model for business growth and cost optimization, as revealed in a statement by the company.

The partnership involves TCS providing services encompassing cloud and data center management, application development and maintenance, cybersecurity, and digital workplace solutions to Ramboll. These efforts are directed towards reducing Ramboll’s climate footprint while enhancing scalability.

As part of the collaboration, TCS will absorb more than 300 IT employees from Ramboll across 12 countries, ensuring a seamless transition and integration of resources.

Thomas Angelius, Senior Group Director and Chief Information Officer at Ramboll, expressed confidence in TCS’s expertise in large-scale digital transformations, stating that the partnership aims to future-proof Ramboll’s business operations and maintain service excellence.

TCS, with a presence in Denmark for over three decades, has been instrumental in driving growth and transformation for its clients. The company has earned recognition as a Top Employer in Denmark since 2014 and has consistently ranked #1 in Customer Satisfaction in the Nordics for 14 consecutive years.

Vikram Sharma, Country Head of TCS Denmark, emphasized the significance of the partnership, highlighting TCS’s commitment to delivering a flexible, agile, and secure IT infrastructure to elevate Ramboll’s business operations.

Despite the announcement, TCS shares experienced a marginal decline of approximately 1.45% on March 21, closing at ₹3,915.20 per share on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
