IGL increase CNG prices in different locations except Delhi

Indraprastha Gas (IGL) has increased the price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) by ₹1.50-4 per kilogramme in various areas, except Delhi, which accounts for approximately 70% of the company’s total volumes.

This modification has affected various regions, as listed below: Kanpur, Hamirpur, and Fatehpur have a ₹4 per kg rise.

In Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Karnal, Gurgaon, and Kaithal, there is a ₹2 rise per kg. Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Shamli, Mahoba, Banda, and Chitrakoot charge ₹3 per kilogramme increase. Ajmer, Pali, and Rajsamand have a ₹1.5 per kg hike.

These locations account for 30% of the company’s volumes.

According to the company, the price hike was implemented in locations that account for only 30% of overall volumes.

The effective increase is around ₹0.5-1.2 per kg, compared to the minimum requirement of ₹9.

Mahanagar Gas Ltd. (MGL) had also announced a price rise for CNG in and around Mumbai beginning 22 November to reflect the impact of rising costs.

MGL increased the price of delivered CNG by ₹2 per kilogramme. The updated delivered price for CNG, including taxes, is ₹77 per kilogramme in and around India’s financial capital.

To completely reflect increased costs, city gas distribution providers will need to hike prices by 8-10%.

The government has lowered its petrol allotment under the APM by 20%.

These companies’ APM petrol availability is presently between 40% and 45%, down from 65% to 70% a month ago. The allocation figure in fiscal year 2021 was 154%.
