On Monday, NBCC (India) reported receiving work orders worth ₹1,726 Crore for reconstruction projects in Goa.
These initiatives will be implemented in phases. In the first phase, NBCC plans to execute 6 projects in Goa worth over ₹1,700 Crore, according to company’s filing with the bourses.
The awarded projects include notable locations such as the redevelopment of Junta House in Panjim, which makes up the majority of the contract amount. Other projects include the redevelopment of the Government Garage on MG Road, the construction of an Administrative Building in Porvorim, and the renovation of the Circuit House in Panjim.
This program also includes the rebuilding of the Government Quarters in St. Inez and a Mini Convention Centre in Tiswadi, Patto.
The overall plot area of these six projects is around 53,000 square metres, with a built-up area of around 1,85,000 square meters.
Following costs, the Goa government will retain a percentage of the built-up land from these projects. Furthermore, NBCC will act as a Project Management Consultant (PMC) for future state-funded development projects in education, health, and other fields as needed.
In addition to the initiatives listed above, the NBCC will be in charge of conducting a feasibility study and reporting on the redevelopment of the Vasco bus terminal, according to the statement.
