Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) achieves a milestone with the commissioning of a 200 MW solar project in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
The project, led by TPREL’s subsidiary TP Saurya Ltd (TPSL), and commissioned for Tata Power Trading Company Ltd (TPTCL), bolsters India’s renewable energy sector.
Expected to produce 485 million units of green energy annually, the project will offset over 3,88,000 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.
Integration into the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) Bus promises efficient distribution of clean energy, enhancing the regional renewable energy infrastructure.
TPREL’s total renewables capacity now stands at an impressive 9,018 MW, with 7,632 MW under power purchase agreements (PPAs).
The portfolio includes ongoing projects totaling 4,547 MW and an operational capacity of 4,471 MW, encompassing solar and wind energy sources.
