Tata Consultancy Services Limited announced that it has secured an add-on Advance Purchase Order (APO) from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL). The business has received the order worth ₹2,903.22 Crore for works related to its 4G mobile network.
As per the company’s filing with the bourses, the order relates to engineering, planning, supply, installation, commissioning, testing, and annual maintenance of a 4G mobile network at 18,685 sites across the country.
This large-scale project marks a significant augmentation to BSNL’s 4G rollout efforts. TCS will play a key role in its execution.
The business also announced that BSNL will issue detailed purchase orders in due course, subject to fulfillment of certain conditions and documentation as highlighted in the APO.
This latest order enlarges TCS’s continued engagement with BSNL to modernise the state-run telecom operator’s mobile infrastructure.
Soon after this announcement, Tata Group Company, Tejas Networks informed the bourses that it has secured a work order from TCS for supply of goods and services for BSNL’s 4G project.
TCS has given an order worth ₹1,525.53 Crore to Tejas for supply of Radio Access Network (RAN).
At around 12.18 PM, TCS was trading 0.52% higher at ₹3,516.40 per piece against the previous close of ₹3,498.30 on NSE. The counter touched an intraday high and low of ₹3,537, and ₹3,498.30, respectively.
