Vodafone Idea introduces gaming platform in association with CareGame

Vodafone Idea has launched a cloud gaming platform in conjunction with CareGame, located in Paris, that will provide members access to a variety of premium AAA titles. The service is available in a “try-n-buy” format, with a free trial period following which customers must pay a monthly membership. The service costs ₹100 for postpaid customers and ₹104 for prepaid users.

According to the corporation, the cooperation is part of its emphasis on promoting customer engagement and is one of several efforts aimed at providing distinctive digital experiences to its consumers.

Popular mobile games accessible on the platform include Asphalt 9, Modern Combat 5, Shadow Fight, Storm Blades, Riptide, Beach Buggy Racing, Gravity Rider, and oldies such as Cut The Rope, Subway Surfers, and Jetpack Joyride.

Through Vi Games’ ‘Cloud Play,’ developed in collaboration with CareGame, we invite our users to experience the future of gaming, where the cloud serves as your gaming arena, offering boundless opportunities,” stated Avneesh Khosla, Chief Marketing Officer at Vi.

“Cloud Play will allow every gamer in India to experience high-quality AAA mobile gaming without the need to purchase a new mobile device or a game controller. This is made possible through the integration of CareGame technology, popular mobile titles from our publishing partners, and Vi networks,” explained Philippe Wang, Co-founder and CEO of CareGame.

The service will be accessible for Android and iOS, with access via both the Vi Web and Vi App platforms. Cloud gaming allows users to play visually intensive games on entry-level devices without having to download them.
