Tuesday’s early morning trading saw a modest drop of Rs160 in gold prices. The price of 10 grammes of 24 karat gold is Rs50,840 as of November 1 compared to Rs 51,000 on Monday. The price of 22-carat gold has decreased by Rs150 and is currently trading at Rs46,600.
On the other hand, silver prices are stable as of November 1. Currently, 1 kilogramme of silver costs Rs57,500.10 grams of 24 karat gold are currently selling in Delhi for Rs50,990, while 10 grams of 22 karat gold are going for Rs46,750. The cost of 10 grammes of 24 and 22 karat gold is Rs50,840 and Rs46,600, respectively, in Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Kerala.
In Chennai, ten grammes of 24 carat gold are currently selling for Rs51,440, while 22 carat gold is going for Rs47,150. 1 kg of silver is currently selling for Rs57,500 in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bangalore, while it is currently trading for Rs63,000 in Chennai. As the dollar maintained steady ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s policy meeting, where the central body is sure to announce another hefty interest rate hike, gold prices in the US were unchanged in early morning trade after touching their lowest levels in more than a week.
As of 00:59 GMT, spot gold was dormant at $1,633.69 per ounce after briefly touching its lowest level since October 21. Spot prices for palladium increased by 0.9% to $1,856.91, platinum fell by 0.1% to $924.51, while silver increased by 0.2% to $19.18 per ounce.
