Indian equity markets end the day in Green

Indian equity markets saw a day of some volatility today. Some rise was seen in the last 30 minutes and the markets managed to end the day in Green. Nifty 50 closed, up by 5.70 points. Sensex closed, up by 64.55 points. Top Gainers today were NTPC, Adani Ports and Asian Paint. Top Losers today were Divi’s Lab, Hindustan Unilever and Dr Reddy’s.

All the broader indices changed marginally over the previous day, by the end of the day. Some pharma and healthcare stocks came under selling pressure today. Yes Bank, IDFC First Bank, and Rail Vikas Nigam were the most traded stocks today at NSE, in terms of volume. HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, and ICICI Banks were the most traded ones in terms of value. 53 stocks touched new 52-week high today at NSE. 12 stocks touched new 52 week low. Market breadth seemed to be broadly positive.
