Nazara Technologies Faces GST Notice for Rs 2.83 Crore Tax Demand

Nazara Technologies received a show cause notice from the Director General of GST Intelligence, Mumbai. The notice pertains to a tax demand of Rs 2.83 crore, including interest and penalty. Several other companies, including Dream11, Games24x7, Gameskraft, and Delta Corp, have received similar notices recently.

Nazara Technologies will respond to the show cause notice within the stipulated timelines. The notice concerns the export of services without payment of GST, citing a force majeure event causing a delay in export proceeds receipt.

The company highlights unforeseen events beyond its control causing the delay in export proceeds, expressing confidence in eventually receiving the proceeds.
