A distinguished Verafirm certification showcases Blue Star’s commitment towards strengthening their IT assets and continued adherence towards the highest standards of ethical business. Verafirm certification has enabled Blue Star to put ISO-aligned SAM practices in place which will help in managing their software lifecycle – from procurement to retirement. It also allows the company to adopt well-established change management procedures when undertaking major software upgrades across the organisation. By monitoring software usage, Blue Star can ensure that its software assets are leveraged to the maximum and wastage is avoided.

Suresh Iyer, Chief Information Officer, Blue Star Limited said on this occasion, “For Blue Star which is committed to high corporate governance and international standards, the decision to assess and certify its SAM policies was quite logical. A certified software asset management program enables Blue Star to manage risks better and derive maximum value from our software assets, leading to improved IT and business efficiencies. We are delighted to be awarded the Verafirm Certification from BSA as the seventh Indian Company to receive this laurel. We thank BSA and its members for this recognition, and have a plan in place to leverage the best practices established as part of this process.”
