Later this month, listed Indian multinational automaker Tata Motors will introduce the electric version of its entry-level model Tiago, becoming the third EV it has produced after the Nexon and Tigor.
Currently, Xpres T serves the fleet industry, while Nexon EV and Tigor EV serve the personal segment.
With a market share of almost 88% and the Nexon EV dominating the sales charts, Tata Motors presently holds the top spot in India's market for electric passenger vehicles.
The business had earlier this year outlined a three-phase strategy for developing an extensive EV portfolio.
